ESEA Revisions - STEM Provisions

The Obama administration recently unveiled its "blueprint" for a revised Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).  This blueprint suggests major revisions to the act now best known as "No Child Left Behind".  In the proposed revision, there is a focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).  As mathematics educators, it's in our interest to be familiar with proposals such as this ESEA revision blueprint, and to provide commentary on those areas which most affect mathematics education at any level.
